We are passionately dedicated in providing the best quality Fjord Trout. Once a year newly hatched fry of about 1 gram is delivered to the hatchery from Lerøy’ s brood stock to provide the best quality of fjord trout. The hatchery ensures that feeding, sorting and vaccination goes according to plan. Each year, the fish is checked and vaccinated by hand.

CERTIFICATIONS
The fjordtrout by Lerøy has achieved the world-leading GlobalG.A.P is a certification that covers the whole process of farming like feed, seedlings, smolt and marine farms. Global G.A.P independent certification allows us to guarantee and document that our fjordtrout is a responsibly farmed production. Lerøy was the first in the world to achieve ASC certification for Atlantic Salmon. There is yet no ASC standard available for marine trout farming. In addition, fjordtrout from Lerøy follow the highest Quality Standard for trout in Norway (NS-9412-2010).
